Birthday

Six years ago today I was at the hospital to see my first grandchild come into the world.  12:10 AM Lily was born.  It was a wonderful day and since then I have had four more wonderful days with four more grandkids.  They are the best and so much fun.  But today was Lily's day and I hope it was a great day for her!  Love you Lily and Happy Birthday!!!!!  Love, Mimi

I'm back

I feel so bad that I have a blog and I haven't written anything for months. Well things are going to change!!  I plan to write at least four times a week. I am busy and have plenty of things to write about but just haven't written.  I so enjoy reading other blogs but just couldn't seem to write on my own.  Well the time has come the time is now!!
Tonight was Paper Ladies. We meet every Monday night for two hours and do art, talk, eat there are no rules.  There are seven of us but only four were able to make it tonight.  We are doing a  group project this month which is two inch inchies. We are to each make 21 two inch squares of whatever we want and then we trade them with each other to make a  larger project with our 21.

Colorado trip

    Every Monday night for two hours I meet with six of my friends and we do art.  We call ourselves The Paper Ladies and we all love doing different kinds on art.  Well this past weekend two of the Paper Ladies and myself went to my family's cabin in Colorado and did art.  We figured we did 23 1/2 hours of art while  there, it was our own private art retreat.  We had a blast and  made all kinds of things.  (I will post pictures tomorrow)

    We worked outside on the deck most of the day and we didn't even stop to eat we just snacked while we worked.  It really wasn't work at all but play!  We all shared our supplies and our knowledge with each other it couldn't have been any better!!  Thanks for going Debbie and Mary!!

Day Two!

     Well this is day two of my blog and I still don't know what the heck I am doing.  I am in the learning stage and with the help of my daughter I hope to learn how to download picures and but on my bio.  Please bear with me I know I will get the hang of this blog thing.
     Today after hitting some garage sales with my daughter and grandson I came home and did some art in my studio.  It had been awhile since I had done any art but it felt great. My life is somewhat crazy at times and finding the time to work on my art is sometimes hard.  I hope to find the time to work in my studio again tomorrow.

It's Official!!

Well it's finally happened I have a blog and this is my first official post.  I could think of a million reasons not to start but yesterday I decided to take the plunge.  I did figured  out that it was not going to happen all by it's self that I had to actually type something and then post it.  This could be interesting for me and anyone who reads my blog because writing is really scary for me.  I have dyslexia and getting the words from my head onto paper or in this case the computer screen is really really hard.  It takes me a long time just to write a thank you note now I am attempting a blog!  What was I thinking?!
